Rosticceria Casalinga is a small family owned chinese restaurant with its location on Via del Leone 53/R, in Florence, Italy. The restaurant is a small interior space that can hold up to 18 people.
People that usually visit this place are younger people, couples and families, as the food is more affordable, but yet good quality. Casalinga also offers a take away or delivery food service, which is widely used, especially by younger people.
The aim was to redesign the restaurant into a more friendly and modern environment, improving the overall looks and functionality.
What I want to do is to create a strong image of the restaurant and create a dynamic & iconic identity, which will make them stand out from all the other chinese restaurants in the city.
Adding hints of color, natural materials – mainly wood and combining contemporary & minimal style, creating a home-like, friendly environment.
The name of the restaurant is Rosticceria Casalinga, with their house painting, which works as a kind of an image | mascot of the restaurant. My idea is to combine the artwork of the typical chinese house, with the hospitality & home-like feeling of the space.
Simple packaging, consisting of paper packages in black + brown colors, matching the design of the interior and the identity of the restaurant.
